I am starting to restart my cyanotype film project. I'm thinking about different ways of using the medium. I am drawn to non-frame based ideas for many reasons, but also because it studies the textures of the medium rather than using fast moving frame sequences to average the textures away and relegate them to lively noise.

One of the more radical ideas is embedding light-fields into a single print. It's pretty esoteric stuff, but maybe you remember the Lytro camera? A single image contained all of the focal points so that you could focus the image after creation.

I want to do the same thing but with time instead of focus.

One way to lay down time is do it in a spiral. Like a record player but with light in the track instead of sound.

You could unpack that light with spiral sampling and get something more coherent than this simulation.
